Liz you shouldn’t have to step down because of what happened, and to have kristin leave the site as well this week, it is a real shame. You were right, there is no problem with the site. That is because you and the JHQ team have done such a good job of running it. It is the fans who, as with everything, blew the rumours out of proportion.

If you don’t change your mind, then thank you for running such a good website. But you should seriously reconsider, at least carry on for the rest of the american leg of the world tour.

I’m in shock, seriously. I’m so sorry this had to happen.
Over the past few months I’ve come to love some of the people in this place like family, and seeing one of them being hurt and having to step down is killing me.

Liz. i have been on this site ever since it was kevin-jonas. i know you probably got a whirlwind of crap from all this but PLEASE from the bottom of my heart reconsider. take a break or something, but do not leave. i honestly can’t picture this site without you. you MAKE this site. it’s been your baby and has grown to really be something. so we had a few rumors? whatever. those boys deal with rumors everyday. this shouldn’t break them or us.

to the people sending her hate mail every second and cussing her out on twitter.. honestly? does that make you any better. this has always been a place for family. we have been through too much to let this break us. we can get through all of this like we always have. ugg. not a good week.

But to be honest, it isn’t your fault.
You’re a site owner. And for once, you’re one who gets RELIABLE information to us quickly, and you’re usually right.
That’s practically your duty.
So once you gave us the information about this, which you said was a RUMOR,
I think that it was the fans’ faults for blowing it out of proportion.
Like always, you just gave us the raw information.
And we took it to an absurd level. People were freaking out everywhere!
We were the ones to drive management/Jonas/Papa J to make a statement.

The reason I loved JHQ so much is ’cause you and kristin were older fans like me and I felt that you gave a mature different perspective on the JB. It sucks that the crazy fangirls have pushed you to leaving. That’s exactly what’s wrong with some of them they get mean and obsessive when they hear something about the boys they don’t like. I really hate the lack of rationale that these people have. Don’t let them tear you dowwwwwwnn. I’ll miss you and forever be grateful for all your hard work.

I hope the crazy fangirls that ripped on Liz for simply tweeting something that she never confirmed realize why the boys are so guarded in interviews and everything. Every little thing they might say can be turned against them by “fans” because they jump to all kinds of conclusions…..sucks.

I am really disappointed it has come to this. I don’t get why “fans” of the Jonas Brothers would come here and trash the owner of a website. If you feel it is time to move on and go forward in your life then i completely support your decision, but i feel as if you’re giving up not moving on! If this dumb rumor is the main reason you’re leaving then it’s not a good enough reason!

Everyone knows that JHQ is practically the ONLY Jonas site that gives reliable information. So this ONE piece of information wasn’t correct that you reported, so WHAT?! (And technically you only posted about it on twitter, so it was even really reported…)

THe Jonas camp has to make statements everyday about CRAZY stuff. We know you must have heard this info from a semi-reliable source in order for you to have written about it & I’m sure they were hardly even bothered by it.

I totally understand about you going back to school and not having enough time, but i wish you would reconsider leaving the site COMPLETELY. Even if you just check in every once in a a while… because it won’t be the same without you.

It was hard to not believe JB were breaking up since this site was down and it seemed like the world was falling apart

My observation for what it is worth is that mistakes were made. It happens to all of us. I frequently wish I could take back something I did or said. However, it says more about a person when they apologize, take responsibility, and try and correct their mistakes.

Liz, as someone that has come to this site everyday, often mutliple times a day over the past year and a half, I am sorry to see that you are leaving. I love the site, I love what you and Kristen have done. On the other hand, I trust that you are leaving the site in good hands and understand 110% that you have a life outside of JonasHQ and that you had to drop something, in this case the site, in order to be able to move on. I think it’s great that you’re owning up to what you’re feeling and doing what you think is best. It’ll be sad, but you’re responsible. Unlike in Joe-Jonas.com, not to bash, the site just wasn’t the same when the owners changed and went to school kind of disappointing the fans that used to LOVE the site… So I’m going to give you a “good job, and well done.”

I’m 23, so I totally understand about “having to move on w/ life”…or at least going on and making a life of your own and not “slaving over another’s-even though you enjoyed doing the site for the Jonas Brothers, you probably were contemplating wondering why your life can’t be as exciting as theirs. …I went down that road when I helped a Jonas Brothers MySpace site-just updating w/ news…The site is still up and the original members still try to meet here and there (it’s the Jonas Brothers Bebo chat thing), but it can be tiring and trying keeping up w/ someone else’s life, especially when you’re at an age where you can finally be able to make your own life!

I wish you many great adventures and luck on your new journey.

I have to say, Jonashq is the only fan site I trust and it was because people Like Liz and Kristin, who just want to spread their love for the Jonas brothers, were running it. I trust everything on here to be true, but when something is named a rumor, people should know that there is a chance it could be wrong. Liz and others on this site do not deserve all this hate. I will definitely miss you, Liz, and jonashq. I will probably not visit this site as often because it has changed ownership. Thanks for all the hard work you have put in and I am sorry you feel the need to stop ding something you love.

I started coming here after another fan site shut down and this place soon became my favorite, to get any and all jonas news. I come here all the time now. It has been reliable in terms of updating and the whole live coverage thing is amazing. It will be so weird without you running it. But it is ultimately your decision whether or not to stay and I respect that. Good luck with moving to Florida and going to Grad school. I admire you because you’re an older Jonas fan but you are not afraid to let people know that. That’s awesome

I’m 41 and I come to this site multiple times a day because my daughter is a huge JB fan and, consequently, so am I. This is the only site that took a mature approach to these talented guys, and stayed away from rumors about their love lives (no matter how interesting it may be, it’s irrelevant to the band itself). I will miss Liz’s input and timely posting. I do understand her decision to move on–this isn’t the sort of thing you can do for very long. It’s hard to avoid not reading visitors’ comments and posts. Teen girls will be teen girls (I was one once too) and will always wear their hearts on their sleeves.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I personally don’t think you have EVER been a problem. I think people bashing you for reporting something big you heard about is wrong. You didn’t make up a rumor, you simply reported it. You didn’t even post it on the site until later & you made sure to stress that it wasn’t official and that JB weren’t breaking up.

Losing Kristin & now you Liz is a huge thing. I’m sure this site will continue to be awesome, but it won’t be the same. I do hope we still hear from you, cause I know i’ll miss you. You should consider putting you twitter back up, but maybe having protected updates that only people you trust can see.

Liz, if you are leaving because of what happened, then that’s immature of you. I understand that you have some personal problems going on. I’m sorry and I hope that it gets better for you, but if you are leaving because of yesterday’s events… It’s low of you.

Perhaps you are just doing this to get some hits and talk about your site. You’ve done it before. The whole CD fiasco where you wouldn’t let a girl post the CD and then wanting the scans. Hypocrite, much? Then there was yesterday’s events where you told everyone that Hollywood records told you about the rumors. You said they were legit. You made everyone believe you. And now this? Bella said that you are now just leaving for a couple of months. But I don’t know what to believe. Are you or are you not coming back.

It’s not your fault you have a life outside of the computer. And you posted wrong information, so what? It doesn’t give people the right to bash you for it. I’m sorry everything came down to this. You made this site amazing and such a huge hit! I’ve been a daily visitor since it was kevin-jonas.org without all the pimped out layouts, just starting out and watching it grow and become this giant success has been amazing. Without you, none of this would have been possible. You created a JHQ family where everyone felt welcome, especially older JB fans! Your mature take on things helped us older fans feel at home. You helped people when you could, had awesome contests and devoted so much of your time and energy into this site. I hope it was worth it! Just know that all of us appreciated it all so much. But if you do chose to reconsider (pleeeeease?), remember the wise words of a 16 year old boy you may have heard of…”when the walls start closing in, don’t let them get inside of your head.” You know Nick J’s always right! I hope you can take his advice, and don’t let the haters inside of your head. Don’t let them get to you. You’re so much better than that! Well, it was a great run and I hope you pop up on the site from time to time even if you’re not back full time. Best of luck to you in the future with grad school and Florida, and everything in between! You will be missed.

As an older JB fan I have come to this site for frequent and mostly accurate information about our 3 favorite boys/men. Despite the amount of rude comments here, I believe that most of us will miss you. I always go to JHQ because it offers something different, not only posting the news, but your own perspective to it.
As a fansite webmaster myself, I do understand that fansite could indeed be a big burden. Sometimes people don’t understand how many amount of work and time we spent to keep them up-to-date. It’s tiring and the least we hope is other people to understand and appreciate our works.

When I first became a fan of the boys, I found this site at random and started visiting it along with a few others. After awhile, though, it soon became almost the only site I visit, and certainly the only site I visit on a daily basis. Timely updating, somehow managing to get information that no one else had, clearly respected by professional photographers, and even Garbo and JB…it’s easily the best site out there, nearly entirely because of you. It’s also the only site where I’ve ever left comments / talked with other fans…and all of that is because the work you put into it attracted a lot of great people to the site. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done, all the time and effort, and especially the many fun nights of live chats and coverage. It’s all been fantastic. I wish you the best of luck with moving to the Florida and eventually beginning grad school.

Liz, seriously?! JHQ is the best JB site ever, I feel like I’m fully updated, when I have visited the site. I visit it everyday! I know the site is in good hands and all that, but you made it special. You were… Liz… I don’t know you and haven’t written with you, but you seem kind and nice and…
In a way I know the feeling. I had a little Danish JB site myself. I was really stressed. I was using so much time on the site, that I began to let down my family and friends. Then I decided to close the site instead, cuz I knew, I used too much time on it and that it was the wrong thing to use time on. It was hard and toke me a long time to find out what to do.
I saw, that you had put down JHQ yesterday and I actually thought about you closing the side. I feel sad, that you don’t have the time and you have to be on the sidelines, but I just hope you choose the right thing. I hope you have had an awesome time with JHQ and I hope you will have an awesome time in the future. Don’t regret your choice.
