Thanks to Lily and JBF for this Press Release:
BURBANK, Calif., April 29 /PRNewswire/ — Jonas Brothers’ highly anticipated new album Lines, Vines and Trying Times is scheduled for world wide release June 16, and the ramp up kicks off May 8 with the release of the first single, “Paranoid.” On May 8, “Paranoid” will roll out to radio and online worldwide, and on Verizon for ring tones. The single will be available for digital download on iTunes staring May 12. The video for “Paranoid” will be directed by The Malloys, who previously worked with Jonas Brothers on their smash hit single and video “Burnin’ Up.”
Lines, Vines and Trying Times showcases an incredible musical journey by the Jonas Brothers, as well as their growth as songwriters and musicians. They’ve incorporated horns into several songs, as well as harmonicas and peddle steel guitars. The first single, “Paranoid,” is a guitar driven dance evoking song, and the entire CD is a veritable smorgasbord of pop and rock gems. “World War III” is a funk metaphor for a confrontational relationship. Written by Nick Jonas, he asserts, “This is a personal experience for me. ‘World War III’ deals with the challenge of a girl who keeps attacking you, provoking you, trying to fight you, but all the while she’s the only one fighting.” “Fly With Me” which is also the end title credit for the upcoming “Night At The Museum 2″ film (due in theaters May 22), was written by Jonas Brothers and their bass player Greg Garbowsky, and is sure to become a love song for the ages. On “Poison Ivy” Jonas Brothers added a horn section. In their summer music preview issue, Rolling Stone described the ultracatchy “Poison Ivy” as a “Weezer-ish tune about a toxic girl that you can’t resist.” “Hey Baby” is a classic “she done him wrong” song written entirely by Jonas Brothers. “We wrote this song for the last record while on the road and felt the old school sound was more cohesive with our present style,” explains Nick Jonas.
With all these themes, it’s easy to see how Jonas Brothers came up with the title Lines, Vines and Trying Times. Says Joe Jonas, “Lines are the “proverbial” lines people will feed you, and vines are obstacles that get in your way.” Adds Kevin Jonas, “Trying Times can be relationships, or anything personal to you. No one is alone in that; we all go through it.”
Lines, Vines and Trying Times is the follow up to the #1 debut of A Little Bit Longer and the # 5 debut of Jonas Brothers. Executive produced by Kevin Jonas, Sr., the album was A&R’d by Jon Lind and produced by John Fields. The multi-platinum Jonas Brothers received their first Grammy nomination this year, and have won a slew of awards from around the world, including an American Music Award, as well as multiple Kids’ Choice and Teen Choice awards. Worldwide, Jonas Brothers have sold a combined 8.1 million albums, and have garnered a resounding total of 36 gold and platinum album certifications. Following the release of Lines, Vines and Trying Times Jonas Brothers are set to embark on the US portion of their “Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009″ on June 20 in Dallas. The tour features guests Jordin Sparks and Honor Society. As previously announced, they will co-host and perform on Canada’s Much Music Video Awards the following day.
Lines, Vines and Trying Times will be released on Hollywood Records. Disney Music Group encompasses all of the Walt Disney Company’s recorded music and music publishing operations including Hollywood Records, Walt Disney Records, Lyric Street Records, Carolwood Records, Buena Vista Concerts and Walt Disney Music Publishing.
Jonas Brothers are exclusively managed by Kevin Jonas, Sr. and Philip McIntyre for Jonas Group, and Johnny Wright form Wright Entertainment Group. Creative Artists Agency is the exclusive talent agency representing the group.
You heard the first single news from JHQ first! Also about the June 16th date. I think that’s when it’s released in the US and internationally, some countries have their release on Mondays and that’s where the June 15th date comes from!

I Love It! You guys are so good in keeping up with the Jonas Brothers! Keep up the good work and by the way I really really love your site. Can’t wait for the release of Lines, Vines and Tryin’ Times.
Flipping A. This sounds SO amazingly awesome. World War 111 sounds like a really cool song. This is so not helping the anxiousness for the new album to be out. I wish June 15th was here already!!!
ahh can’t wait!! can it come out now?!
Thank you for posting my news! I am a bit under the weather at the moment, so it totally made my day!
I am BEYOND excited for this CD!
World War III sounds VERY interesting. I’m sure people are going to have fun trying to figure out who it’s about.
And YAY for JB for having one of the songs for Night at the Museum 2! That’s a pretty highly-anticipated movie. Glad to see they’re a part of it!

I am so stoked for this album.
“World War III” sounds like an interesting song.
I’m glad JB has a song for the “Night at the Musuem 2″ soundtrack.
I loved the first movie.

and so excited about the new CD…I cant waiiiitttt…!!
and about the Night at Museum soundtrack..is so awesome that they would be part of it someone knows is the song going to be in the movie (playin during the movie) or just in the credit parts???’
Interesting. I try to not get excited or negative on stuff THIS close to release (new single is next week and after that Fly With Me in the movie. After that times gonna fly by fast and then full album will be out) so I don’t end up being let down or anything. it sounds interesting, and I am dying to hear Fly With Me, sounds like something I’m gonna dig.
O M G i was sooo gonna watch NATM2,
but now this makes me wanna watch it more.
wheeeheeheheheh
World War III sounds awesome.
@ Tony I kinda be the same way too, but I’m sure they gonna have some hot stuff. I’m waiting here just trying let the time come fast and not worry or really think about it.
that’s a lot of info!!! i’m so excited!!!
i know this album is gonna be epic!!!! can’t wait!!!!!!!
I’m such a debbie downer, but I’m kinda bummed? All this talk about how their writing was getting deeper and more profound, and we still have a CD full of songs about girls.
:\ Not sure how to feel. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
I kinda agree with KandKL, not that a CD about relationships is a bad thing, but sometimes it just all seems like the same concept over and over. Although again, for all we know these songs could be a whole new take on relationships and from a entirely new angle that will make it more interesting. Idk, just trying to be positive till release, while not being like “BEST ALBUM EVER” or somethin’
I can’t wait for this album. If it’s as good as it sounds, a Grammy isn’t too far away.
I love hearing details about song concepts and titles. WWIII & Hey Baby sound interesting. I’m dying to hear Paranoid.
Seriously though, most songs & albums are about relationships. The boys have done some songs about other things though- Year 3000, Hollywood, Hold On, Take A Breathe, A Little Bit Longer, etc. I would like to hear songs about other things to, but as long as the relationship songs are interesting, sound good, and aren’t the same recycled concepts- I’ll be happy.
I am freaking DYING for some new music from them. May 8th cannot come fast enough.
i KNEW it was june 16 ! cause juine 15 was a monday , so i was like “wtf . . . ?” either way , it`s sooner than august !
i`m excited . and i`m gonna see night at the musem JUST for that song at the end ;D even though i didn`t even see the first one . . .
asdfghjkl; scratch that , i WANNA hear the song , but at the same time , i`m one of those poeple that DON`T wanna hear ANY of the cd besides the single until the cd comes OUT . . . . so i may or may not watch the movie
maybe i`ll wait , but i`ll be a long wait ! i did it for ALBL , and i was completeeeely shocked by it (in the good way . i loveddddd it) and i wanna do the same for this next cd cause it sounds epic !
Don’t tell anyone, but the album is actually going to be released on the 12th in Holland, because the releasedates are always on friday here (its been confirmed by Universal). Jaaaaaj! We get it first
