> Who’s rounding the bases with the Jonas Brothers? The self-confessed New York Yankees fans were spotted yesterday at Big 5 Sporting Goods in Los Angeles scooping up some baseball gear.“The three walked in yesterday and went straight upstairs with a few of their security guys,” a source tells E! News. “They were shopping for baseball apparel.” The source adds that Nick, Joe and Kevin might have been shopping to participate in an upcoming game that they were overheard talking about. It seems the J.B.’s were in and out fairly quickly without much fanfare. “As soon as they picked out their clothes, they came downstairs, paid and left,” an onlooker tells E! “No one in the store was really noticing them or going crazy for them.” A first for sure. > THE JONAS BROTHERS are planning to hit the recording booth with BRITNEY SPEARS.
The pop trio met the Toxic hitmaker at a recent awards ceremony in Los Angeles and the group has revealed that the singer was keen to offer them advice. Joe Jonas tells British magazine Reveal, “We love Britney. It was a real honour to meet her at the MTV Video Music Awards. Her debut album was the first one I bought.” Nick Jonas says, “She was really sweet and asked us if our record label were treating us properly.” And now the band is hoping to team up with the superstar for a duet. > It sure looks like MySpace is spending a ton of cash on next week’s launch of the MySpace Music joint venture with the major labels. > Rocker COURTNEY LOVE has slammed THE JONAS BROTHERS, insisting nothing about the pop trio is rock ‘n’ roll. The former Hole frontwoman took aim at the teen sensations following their appearance on the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles earlier this month (Sep08), when they were ridiculed by comedian/host Russell Brand for their no-sex-before-marriage rule. But Love has no pity for the band, because she is offended that they’re considered the new faces of rock ‘n’ roll. She tells TMZ.com, “They are completely not rock n’ roll. I can’t stand that s**t!” Love is not the first rocker to blast The Jonas Brothers – Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx recently lashed out at the group – and fellow Disney darling Miley Cyrus – for their newfound status as rock ‘n’ roll stars. > El cantante decidió tomar una prueba de manejo en un auto nada convencional. El más grande de los Jonas Brothers, Kevin Jonas, está aprendiendo a manejar pero no lo hace en cualquier automovil: realizó una prueba de manejo en un Lamborghini blanco. Un par de fotografías tomadas el 15 de septiembre pasado muestran a Kevin manejando el lujoso auto. El joven de 20 años vestía una camisa negra y un saco gris y lucía particularmente serio.
